R G Fowler Ltd (also trading as Stairs Direct UK) is one of the UK’s market leaders in the manufacture and timber staircase design. We supply stairs to many of the UK’s most prominent House Builders as well as various Builder / Timber Merchants, Joiners and the General Public.
We only manufacture wooden staircases, stair parts and have the capacity to produce up to 1000 flights per month from our 25,000 sq ft factory in Baildon, near Leeds / Bradford, in the heart of West Yorkshire, UK.
Staircases & stair parts are offered in a selection of quality hardwood and softwood timbers to the customers’ choice. Stair parts such as spindles, newels, newel caps and indoor handrails are also available. All timber is sourced from FSC or PEFC sustainable sources.
We have invested in the latest staircase manufacturing technology. Stairs are machined using CNC machinery and specialist CAD stair software. This ensures complete accuracy and efficiency in staircase production. In addition all staircases are fully factory assembled by our skilled joiners including the balustrade so that a minimum amount of stair lift and fitting work is required on site. We pride ourselves on the fact that despite the volume of stairs produced, we very rarely have a problem on site.
Stairs Direct UK is the trading name for our supply of individual bespoke staircases to the General Public. We have expert technical staff who will guide you through the design and planning of your staircase and generally assist in any way possible. We will then forward a competitive quotation along with a stairs design drawing for your confirmation. We can deliver throughout the UK.
